The Conference will be held the Polo delle Scienze Sociali located in the Novoli district, north-west of the city centre at the corner between Viale Guidoni and Via Forlanini (see map above).
All talks will be given in building D6 (see map below).
The Conference Dinner will take place in Salone dei Cinquecento, Palazzo Vecchio (Piazza della Signoria, 1) on Friday, November 9 (see map below).
How to reach the Polo delle Scienze Sociali
From Amerigo Vespucci Airport
There is a shuttle service - Vola in Bus - to the Railway Station . Then follow the instructions below. Otherwise take a taxi to the “Polo delle Scienze Sociali – Novoli” (about 1Km trip).
From Firenze Santa Maria Novella Railway Station
By bus: the easiest and quickest (although not the unique) way to get to the campus is by taking bus number 22 from "Stazione Scalette" stop in Piazza della Stazione and getting off near the campus after a 15 minutes trip; the suggested bus stop for the conference venue is “Ragghianti” in via di Novoli (see map below).
By taxi: ask for the "Polo delle Scienze delle Scienze sociali" in Novoli (10-15 €).
From the town centre by bus.
Number 22 is also the easiest and quickest bus from the town centre (approximately a 20-minute ride). It leaves from Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, close to the Duomo. The suggested bus stop is “Ragghianti” in via di Novoli (see map below) .
Number 23 (direction Nuova Scuola dei Carabinieri) goes through Piazza san Marco close to many hotels. However, it is less frequent and takes longer than n.22 (approximately 38 minutes). The suggested stop is Del Prete Terzolle in via del Prete (see map below).
Number 57 leaves from Stazione Leopolda. The suggested stop is “Villaggio Forlanini” in via Forlanini (see map below).

From the Student Hotel by bus
Walk (for about 12 minutes) to Lami T1 Statuto FS and take Number 55 (direction T1 Cascine Carlo Monni). After approximately 10 minutes get off at the “Forlanini Polo delle Scienze sociali” stop (see number 57 on the map below).
Walk to Piazza Indipendenza and take Number 23 (direction Nuova Scuola dei Carabinieri). After approximately 35 minutes get off at the “Del Prete Terzolle” stop in via del Prete.
